The 2013 International Tourism Fair in Berlin was held from the 6th to the 10th of March. A Burundian delegation conducted by Mrs. Victoire NDIKUMANA, Minister of Trade, Industry, Mail and Tourism in Burundi, took part in this fair. With 11.000 participants, the fair’s activities were officially launched by Her Excellency the Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel and S.E. Dr. S SUSILO BAMBANG YUDHOYONO, President of the Republic of Indonesia, the co-host country.

At the end of the International Fair, Burundi came first once again and got the “Best exhibitor Award 2013” of the African continent for the 3rd consecutive time. Kenya and Rwanda came second and third respectively. The East-African community therefore places itself as first touristic destination in Africa.
